Sapporo after the earthquake

Earthquake in Sapporo

The instability of the nuclear industry in Japan
Pause for reflection: momentarily,'do I go to Japan?' Yes, of course. In Japan they just get on with it. Second thought, 'how does this come into my work?' There has to be something about instability there: the Fukushima disaster was caused by an earthquake and tsunami and this time around there was some cause for concern at Tamari NPS near Sapporo and generators had to be brought in to cool the fuel still in situ.
I would love to work with the idea of inherent instability, as I have been thinking about with the fault-lines work - the crack and slippages under the Wylfa site.
